Home Remedies for the Treatment of Malaria

Some of the Common Home Remedies for Curing Malaria are:

Basil Leaves and Black Pepper - Take 10g of basil leaves and 7 grains of black pepper. Grind them properly and make a fine powder. Sieve it through a thick cloth. Mix it in about 100 gms. of water and this water should be drinked by the patient atleast two times daily.

Tulsi - Make equal parts tulsi leaf juice, bel flower juice, and honey. Take a couple teaspoons twice daily.

Cinnamon - Cinnamon is regarded as a valuable remedy in malaria. One teaspoon should be coarsely powdered and boiled in a glass of water with a pinch of pepper powder and honey. This can be used beneficially as a medicine in malaria.

Lime and Lemon - Lime and lemon are valuable in the quartan type of malarial fever. About three grams of lime should be dissolved in about 60 ml of water and the juice of one lemon added to it. This water should be taken before the onset of the fever.

Apple - Eating apples helps in a speedy recovery from the fever. The paroxysm of malarial fever can be checked by eating all apple before it begins.

Butter Milk - It provides relief from malaria with paroxysm on every fourth day.

Common Salt - Heat 5 teaspoon of common salt on a hot plate till it turns brown. Mix a teaspoon of it in a glass of hot water and drink it daily before the fever comes. Do not take it during the malarial fever.

Alum - Alum is also useful in malaria. It should be roasted over a hot plate and powdered. Half a teaspoon should be taken about four hours before the expected attack and half a teaspoon every two hours after it. This will give relief.

Juice of Basil Leaves and Black Pepper - Mix 1g of grounded black pepper in 10 gms of basil juice and this mixture should be given to the patient in intervals of two hours for 5 - 6 days. In addition give the patient basil tea. The fever along with the malarial symptoms will be totally relieved in a couple of days.

Neem - Grind 60 gms. of neem leaves along with 4 corns of black pepper, mix it with 125 ml. of water, strain and drink it. It will cure malarial fever. It is a dependable recipe.

Mild Sweating - Mild Sweating also helps to digest the toxins. Lie on a bed covered with a blanket, for 15 to 20 minutes. Drinking a hot liquid also helps.
